The stars were right for a new social event that coincided with the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, so Eric decided to organize an annual pubcrawl that appealed directly to the nerdy sensibilities of the PAX attendee. The H.P. Pubcraft Lovecrawl is a community-supported Lovecraftian pubcrawl and megagame in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood. Participants assume a unique role with a hidden victory condition and experience an epic journey of epic fun and epic friendship.
This annual event is continually expanding in scope and size to create a fully-immersive attendee experience. Eric is responsible for A-Z planning of the event, including venue booking, game design, graphic design, budget management, logistics planning, and marketing. His ultimate goal is to create memories that attendees will carry with them for years to come.
Here's some recent feedback about the H.P. Pubcraft Lovecrawl:
"This was the most memorable part of my PAX last year. Was also my first PAX. Great conversation with a fun group, and this was the only thing I did that resulted in actual facebook friend additions. The game aspect added some variety to the night, and the pubs were excellent. Honestly, can't say enough good things about it. If you have a basic Lovecraft interest, and want to meet some genuinely great people, you should join!
I will be a (enthusiastic descriptor) shill for this event until the day I die."
